In winter the Ahrntal is a paradise for wintersport friends. The ski region "Speikboden" is at 10 minutes from our house and you can even return directly at our house by ski. The ski region "Klausberg" above the village of Steinhaus is at 10 minutes, too and the famous "Kronplatz" near the town of Bruneck is at 25 minutes. In Weissenbach, Prettau and the Reintal-valley cross-country skiers find well-kept ski runs. The Ahrntal is also getting more and more attractive as starting point for ski tours and snow-shoe hiking. Other possible wintersports: ice skating, curling, sledging, ice- climbing and journeys with horse-drawn sleighs.
